Martine Gourbault was born and grew up in
Paris. She received her art education in Toronto, London and Vancouver.
Over the years, her interest in art has taken her into the fields of
magazine design and children's book illustration and finally to painting
full time. Having explored semi-abstract, figurative work and still
life, she now focuses primarily on non
objective painting with particular emphasis on colour, and texture. She
resides in Vancouver and is an AFCA member of the Federation of Canadian
Artists. She has earned a number of awards in jury-ed shows and her work
can be seen in several galleries in Vancouver as well as in private and
corporate collections in North America and Europe.
